The examples on this page show the many variations on colour and beauty that this timber has.
Many pieces of New Zealand Kauri that Robin works with have been dug from the ground after being buried by volcanic eruption or other natural event, for hundreds or thousands of years. This burying and natural process of preservation, puts a different colour in each piece of timber.
The colour is dependant upon the type, make-up, colour and chemical composition of the soil.
